Warren Zevon (finally) received his due this weekend. Although revered as one of the Laurel Canyon music scene’s most original singer-songwriters, he was notoriously excluded from consideration for decades, reportedly due to a long-running battle with Rock & Roll Hall of Fame co-founder and Rolling Stone editor Jann Wenner.
