Colbert joking that the more we know about Trump’s Epstein ties, “the more we want us to be” | Video

Stephen Colbert started his monologue on Tuesday by declaring “It’s a big day to be me, because I’m not Donald Trump. This guy has problems.”

More specifically, said Colbert, problems related to the deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

“First of all, Jeffrey Epstein’s scandal,” said Colbert before stopping to watch another camera, “will not kill himself.” This is of course a reference to the death of Epstein in 2019 by apparent suicide while he expected from prison.

Colbert then noted how Senator Dick Durbin recently said that in March, more than 1,000 FBI agents were ordered to review all Epstein documents in possession of the government and report all references to Trump.

“It is a permanent Herculean effort,” joked Colbert, before noting that the president of the House Mike Johnson postponed the House of Representatives until September in order to prevent a vote on the publication of Epstein documents to the public.

But Colbert did not blame “Trump’s allies to be afraid here, because the more we know about Trump’s relationship with Epstein, the more we want us to be.

Colbert continued on this subject, at some point, referring to the recently resurfaced interview that Trump made with Howard Stern where he had an answer to the rise in eyebrows when he asked for what his minimum sexual age limit was. Then, rejecting Trump’s claims was not very close to Jeffrey Epstein, joked Colbert: “It would be easier to accept Sir Mix-A-Lot” I have never visited Big Butt Island “.”

Colbert also launched the shadow on Trump’s recent accusations against Barack Obama, and also tackled other subjects. You can look at the whole monologue below:
