Today in history – July 25: scientists told patients that they were treated for deadly disease
A few minutes after takeoff on July 25, 2000, an Air France Concorde plane crashed, killing more than 100 people.
The supersonic plane left Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport, near Paris, when he quickly dropped to the ground after one of his engines caught fire.
Witnesses described having seen a “huge ball of fire” followed by a dense cloud of black smoke. There were no survivors.
