“What do you see?” “He will live …” Focus Features unveiled the film’s trailer HamnetA new long -awaited film to come this season of awards. Hamnet is the last feature led by the winner of an Oscar Chloé ZhaoAfter work on Marvel EthernalsIt is she who begins to make something more significant and intimate. Hamnet tells the powerful story of love and loss that inspired the creation of the timeless masterpiece of Shakespeare, Hamlet. Jessie Buckley play like Agnes Shakespeare, Paul MESCAL As William Shakespeare took place in the 16th century. This tells the story of Agnès – William Shakespeare’s wife – when she finds it difficult to reconcile with the loss of her only son, Hamnet. A human story and breathtaking as the backdrop of the creation of the most famous play in Shakespeare, Hamlet. Tiff describes him as a look at how the bard was not a cold genius, he was “a real man whose literary prowess was irrevocably affected by his domestic life”. The casting includes Joe Alwyn,, Emily Watson,, Jacobi Skirt,, Jack Sharedo,, David Wilmot. With a new magnificent score by Max Richter which can be heard briefly in this teaser. It looks beautiful! It will be a very emotional story that will break us all in tears. An essential trailer.

Intro via tiff: “To William Shakespeare’s day, the names Hamlet & Hamnet were interchangeable. Chloé Zhao’s latest film uses this context as the basis of a tender exploration of Shakespeare’s domestic life, connecting a family tragedy to one of his most famous works. Perhaps we can better understand Hamlet, suggests Zhao, if we consider that he was developed while the most famous writer in the Western Canon was crying the death of his 11-year-old son, Hamnet. Based on the novel by Maggie O’Farrell, the main character of Hamnet is not the bard – played here by an impressive Paul Mescal – or even the child who gives his name to the film. Hamnet belongs to Agnes – The thoughtful woman of Shakespeare, played by a passionate Jessie Buckley, who bathes the film in her warmth. Many historical stories prefer the reports of Hamnet’s death with statistics on the way infant mortality was common in the 16th century, as if it had barely had an impact. Hamnet rejects this premise, showing Shakespeare not as a distant and untouchable genius but as a real man whose literary prowess has been irrevocably affected by his servant [family] life.“”

The scenario is written by Maggie O’Farrell and Chloe Zhao; Adapted from Maggie O’Farrell’s book also entitled “Hamnet”. Produced by Liza Marshall, Pippa Harris, Nicolas Gonda, Sam Mendes, Steven Spielberg. This is presenting the Film Film Festivals & Toronto in 2025 this fall. The development features will then make its debut on Chloé Zhao Hamnet film in some American theaters begins November 27, 2025Thursday, the day of Thanksgiving, later this year, before a large expansion in more theaters in December.
