The star of Mercury Alyssa Thomas finds an assistance record in a single season

Phoenix Mercury’s star, Alyssa Thomas, collected 10 assists on Saturday to spend her season total to 342 to recover the record of assists in a WNBA season.
Thomas established the 316 record in 2023 before Caitlin Clark harvested 337 passes last season to cross the brand.
But Thomas recovered the record with his sixth assist during the defeat of 87-84 on Saturday against the Connecticut Sun host. She led the way before feeding Kathryn Westbeld, who drained a 3 -point pointer with 4:45 to do in the second trimester.
Thomas set the brand in its 37th game of the season. Clark played 40 games last year.
Thomas is in his first season with Mercury after spending 11 seasons with the sun. The six times All-Star has set a record this season with seven triple-doubles.
Thomas also collected 14 points and eight rebounds against Connecticut.
Thomas displays an average of 15.8 points, 8.9 rebounds and 9.2 assists after Saturday’s match.
