The confident vision of Broncos Nik Bonitto on Von Miller’s Von Miller record

Nik Bonitto’s post-broncos at the end of Von Miller’s Von Miller record appeared first on the clutch.

Nik Bonitto has no problem solving the high bar. After having exploded in 2024 with 13.5 bags, the outside secondary of Denver Broncos thinks that he can move on to the next stage and challenge the broncos franchise standard.

The bag record in a single season for the Broncos is 18.5, established by Von Miller in 2012. Bonitto sees this number also at hand.

“Very reasonable,” said Bonitto. “As long as I stay healthy, I feel that I have self -confidence to go.”

Bonitto signed an extension of $ 106 million over four years after his pro Bowl and All-Pro campaign last season. His 13.5 bags equally in the sixth row in the history of the franchise, and with the extended calendar of 17 NFL games, he has an additional opportunity to push towards Miller’s brand.

Broncos made life miserable for opposing quarters to open the season. For three games, Denver leads the NFL with 12 bags, punctuated by the three of Bonitto. Jonathan Cooper and Justin Strnad cut two each, while the defensive line player Zach Allen added a bag but leads the league with 10 strokes.

“It’s crazy how fast is it out of the line,” said Allen about Bonitto. “The way he trains, the way he rushes, I could see him beat this record.”

Bonitto admits to having reached 20 bags, a feat accomplished only 13 times that the bags have become official in 1982, would be a much larger task. But the possibility of exceeding the total of Miller motivates it.

“I would certainly like to get as many bags as possible, but 20 years old will be a job,” said Bonitto. “It will be a push for sure, so we will see.”

With Denver at 1-2 but finding the defense coherence, the pursuit of Bonitto could be one of the most convincing scenarios of the season. If he continues at his current rate, he would end with 17 bags, leaving him at the door of history.

“Heaven is the limit for someone like Nik,” said secondary Justin Strnad. “He could have as many bags as anyone in the NFL.”
