The Bengals coach says he spoke with Trey Hendrickson

Cincinnati Bengal coach Zac Taylor said on Tuesday that he spoke with the unhappy defensive winger Trey Hendrickson.
That said, Taylor did not disclose much more update of journalists on Hendrickson, who told journalists last week that he had received a text from Taylor concerning fines for a compulsory minimimus potential minimim from June 10 to 12.
“I put a lot of time thinking – these situations, there is real money at stake,” said Taylor. “So I took a lot of time and energy thinking about how to communicate, when to communicate. And so, that’s how I managed this one. And, yes, Trey and I talked.
“I think each situation is unique. Each personality is different, each player is different. The moment of everything is different. So you simply adapt as you go.”
The Bengal Star quarterrier, Joe Burrow, who previously supported the Large Tee Higgins recipient in his attempted contract, said that he valued everything Hendrickson had brought to the team.
“We will see what’s going on with that,” said Burrow about Hendrickson’s situation. “You know what I feel for Trey. He is a guy who deserves to be paid and be paid for what he wants and what the market says it deserves.”
Hendrickson told journalists last Tuesday that he would not play the coming season with the Bengals on his current contract. The Pro Bowl selection four times addressed several subjects before sharing that he received a Taylor text on what would happen if he did not participate in the compulsory training of the team.
“A little happened between me and Zac,” said Hendrickson last week. “We have tried to keep the least personal as possible. (Them) that it might not work.
“And it’s unfortunate. I don’t think it’s necessary. I think we should have hoped for the best until proven the opposite.”
Hendrickson, 30, led the NFL and equaled its career summit with 17.5 bags in 17 departures last season, adding 46 plated and 36 strokes with two forced escapes.
One year left on an extension of the contract which he signed in 2023 with a base salary of $ 15.8 million for 2025.
Negotiations have resumed in March after the Bengals signed wide Ja’mar Chase and Higgins receptors to extensions worth $ 161 million and $ 115 million, respectively.
Hendrickson’s market value as a defensive has climbed this off -season with Las Vegas raiders signing Maxx Crosby to an agreement of $ 106.5 million over three years and the Cleveland Browns keeping Myles Garrett with a contract of $ 160 million over four years.
Hendrickson did the pro bowl in each of his four seasons in Cincinnati. He has 77 career bags in 110 games (81 departures) with the New Orleans Saints (2017-20) and Bengals.
