“Pretending to be from the Bay Area”

Fox News co-host Emily Compagno criticized the representative. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) as someone who “pretends to be from the Bay Area.”

Monday Outnumbered on Fox News, hosts discussed Democrats’ opposition to the president that of Donald Trump demolition of the East Wing of the White House to make way for a ballroom. On Sunday, Swalwell insisted that any Democratic presidential candidate in 2028 must absolutely commit to demolishing the structure upon taking office.

“Don’t even consider running for the Democratic nomination for president unless you’re committed to bringing a wrecking ball to the Trump Ballroom on DAY ONE,” he wrote.

“I’m so tired of credibility being broken, and right now these individuals are being filmed or behind their X accounts,” Compagno said of Swalwell and the House minority leader. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). “And it’s so frustrating for me, as an American voter, to have to deal with the constant bile unleashed and released and spewed by Hakeem and Eric and everyone else who is doing it for clickbait rather than serving the voters.”

She added that the new White House ballroom “will benefit us” and that the building “will now be commensurate with the gold, the dream and the opportunity for America, and the commensurate respect we want to give.”

Compagno, who grew up in the Bay Area, then decided to attack Swalwell’s backstory. The lawmaker was born in Sac City, Iowa, and grew up there as well as in Dublin, California, after his family moved to the Bay Area. He represents the 14th Congressional District, located in Alameda County.

“But for some very narrow-minded, bitter people who come from, where is he from? Iowa? And then he moved to Dublin, California, and claims to be from the Bay Area?” she said. “When Eric Swalwell now pretends to be hip and thinks he has a say, Americans care deeply about a lot of other things.”
