The third goal of New York Mets, Brett Baty, was one of the most pleasant surprises of the 2025 season for dishes.
Once Baty has started to slow down doors, it seemed that some fans accepted the fact that it would be another year of Baty (which was once one of the most promising perspectives in New York) that do not occur at the level of the major league.
Then Baty caught fire once it was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse earlier this month. During his last 7 games, Baty strikes .360 with a .968 OPS, and he had an impressive .863 OPS in his last 30 games.
Following his success, many believe that Baty deserves to win the third base position on Mark Venos, who was in crisis for the entire season of 2025.

Baty was considered a leading sales candidate for the food throughout the offseason, especially after the Venos Breakout 2024 campaign which gave the impression that the hot corner of New York would be hers in the foreseeable future.
And in an article of May 30, Jon Heyman of New York Post revealed two specific teams interested in negotiating against Baty.
Heyman noted that the Miami Marlins and the White Sox of Chicago made Baty known their interest in Baty’s trade. He also said that several other teams (nameless) had his eyes on the 25 -year -old.
In the end, the Front Office des Diets and the Fans of the Franchise had to feel good to have kept Baty in Queens, given the importance he was for the team during the last month.
