San Francisco – – Brad Lord launched six effective rounds to win his first career victory as a starter, and the Washington Nationals beat the Giants of San Francisco 4-2 on Saturday.
James Wood, Paul Dejong and Josh Bell dominated the Nationals, were excluded in their two previous games. Wood’s head shooting was its first circuit in a month.

Devers dominated the sixth and Wilmer Flores had a sacrificial fly in the eighth for the giants.
Ferrer withdrew Matt Chapman swinging with two to finish the eighth.
The three Whisenhunt home circuits came to pellets, its most effective land this season.
