San Francisco – – Brad Lord launched six effective rounds to win his first career victory as a starter, and the Washington Nationals beat the Giants of San Francisco 4-2 on Saturday.
James Wood, Paul Dejong and Josh Bell dominated the Nationals, were excluded in their two previous games. Wood’s head shooting was its first circuit in a month.
Rafael Devers went deep for the second consecutive day and Dominic Smith doubled so that the giants extend his sequence of strikes at 13 games, the longest active race of the majors.
Lord (3-6), whose two previous victories came in relief, granted a point and four strokes. The 25 -year -old recruit contributed to traffic a large part of the day during her third departure from the major leagues and finished with five stick withdrawals and two steps.

Whisenhunt (1-1) granted three points and three strokes in four rounds. The best hope for pitching from San Francisco has experienced five stick withdrawals and three balls on bullets.
Devers dominated the sixth and Wilmer Flores had a sacrificial fly in the eighth for the giants.
Ferrer withdrew Matt Chapman swinging with two to finish the eighth.
The three Whisenhunt home circuits came to pellets, its most effective land this season.
The Giants RHP Justin Verlander (1-8, 4.29 ERA) face Mackenzie Gore in difficulty in difficulty (4-12, 4.29) in the final of the series on Sunday.
