Kirk Herbstreit reveals Pat McAfee ‘College Gameday’ Charitable Endeavour

Pat McAfee’s pockets have become lighter, than fans know it or not.
Twice already this season, the students have managed to kick a 33 yards through the amounts of the Pat McAfee kick competition organized during the “College Gameday” of ESPN for a bundle of money which can vary between $ 250,000 and $ 600,000.
Due to the high price and the regularity of students nailing the kick, some viewers have been skeptical about whether McAfee pays the price.
However, the co-host Kirk Herbstreit put this story in bed.
“He gave more than $ 500,000,” Herbstreit on the podcast “Stugotz and Company said on Friday.
“People are like,” ESPN does that, right? ” I am like, I know he earns a lot of money, but he writes checks to these guys. “”
The students of Ohio State and Oklahoma returned home this year with McAfee money.
Herbstreit is both shocked and inspired by McAfee’s commitment inside and outside the funding of the event which has become a centerpiece of the show every weekend.
“It is an edifying presence,” said Herbstreit. “People sometimes see him, he takes off his shirt, he shouts – you really miss what his mind. He is a student. It celebrates sport. It was a big addition; We are lucky to have it. ”
McAfee, which also welcomes “The Pat McAfee Show” on ESPN, will generally double the price pot with charity donations and last week in Knoxville, he worked with the Pat Summitt Foundation to put a huge check for $ 600,000 on the line.
However, the student’s kick failed.
McAfee donated a substantial sum of money to charitable works throughout his career as part of the manufacture of a community with his fans base and to give back to those who gave him once.
A year ago, he even helped extend budget cuts and layoffs on “College Gameday” by proposing to pay his co-animators himself. The move finally made that the management made no cup.
