Iowa State’s Benjamin Brahmer collapses on court after scary hit

Iowa State tight end Benjamin Brahmer had to be taken to the hospital Saturday after collapsing on the field following a big hit by Arizona State’s Keith Abney II.
The moment came midway through the fourth quarter. Brahmer was tracking a pass from Cyclones quarterback Rocco Becht when Abney came in and put a thunderous hit on the 6-foot-7 junior.
Brahmer took a long time to get up and managed to take a few steps before suddenly collapsing.
Brahmer began to shake while the training staff tended to him.
Players from both sides took to their knees, and many showed looks of pain and concern for the injured player.
Brahmer was eventually kicked off the field and congratulated the fans on his way out.
