Entergy New Orleans planning a seven -hour breakdown Tuesday | News

Some Entergy New Orleans customers are expected to lose energy up to seven hours on Tuesday in a planned failure to make equipment improvements, according to leaflets that have been distributed to affected residences.
A spokesperson for Entergy, Beau Tidwell, refused to say where the breakdowns will occur or the number of assigned customers, citing unpertified security reasons. Tidwell said that the customers concerned were informed by the drop in mail and their favorite contact method.
ENTERGY generally publishes outstanding breakdowns in real time on its involvement card.
“We work with diligence with commercial customers to plan these breakdowns so that they disrupt the least businesses and schools, but work is necessary to upgrade and strengthen the grid,” said Tidwell.
The breakdown is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. to 2 p.m., even if it is not going so long. The work could be postponed if the conditions do not allow work to be done, according to the Entergy leaflet.
“Due to the nature of the emergencies, it can be difficult to inform you in a timely time before a postponement,” said the leaflet.
Entergy advises affected residents to deactivate air conditioners, computers and other major equipment.
