Eastbourne Results: Jacob Fearnley increases the shoulders of fall while Billy Harris beats Cameron Norrie

Earlier, the semi-finalist of Eastbourne 2024, Billy Harris, obtained his campaign this year starting strong with a victory in the shock against his colleague British player Cameron Norrie.

Harris, who only qualified for this year’s competition as a lucky loser, beat the former semi-finalist of Wimbledon, Norrie 6-4 6-4, in the third match of Tuesday on Center Court.

For the world’s number 142 Harris, it was only his second victory over a player in the top 100 when he saw Norrie 61st impressively.

“I knew it would be a difficult match today,” said English Harris. “I had to play a good match and I managed to stay solid in the wind.

“I had good memories of last year here, I hope I can make a good week.”

In the first match of simple competitive between the compatriots, Harris ran in an advance of 4-1 with a double break, taking the two break points offered in the set.

A grinding opener with only five winners in total was partly decided by 13 non -forced errors from Norrie, who received a joker for Eastbourne but was below the peer here, despite the fact of Beak Harris to serve in the eighth match.
