Chelsea must be a height of the sale of “future captain of England”

The Chelsea transfer strategy has seen them sign and sell a huge number of players in recent years, and although it has worked, they have also lost bright talents.

For example, the winner of the FA Cup, Marc Guehi, was sold in Crystal Palace for only 18 million pounds Sterling in 2021, and has since become one of the best defenders of the Premier League.

He also became a key player for England, starting the two games during the international break and scoring his first international goal against Serbia.

However, there is another cobham graduate which was sold too early, someone undoubtedly more exciting than Guehi and who looks intended to become a star of England.

Chelsea’s ex-players play for England

Due to the large number of players that Chelsea has sold or released in the last decade or more, it is not surprising that there are quite a few things that have continued to play for England.

For example, Declan Rice was part of the group of Cobham Gems which included Mason Mount, but was released at 14 and ended up joining West Ham United.

The 26 -year -old would continue to make 245 appearances for the Hammers and captain in the glory of the conference league before joining Arsenal for 105 million pounds Sterling two years ago.

He made his debut for the national team in March 2019 under Gareth Southgate and has since become one of the most important players on the team, accumulating 68 caps in which he scored six goals, provided six assists and played in two finals of the European championship.

Other former Chelsea players who shot the three Lions after leaving Stamford Bridge, but who are not as crucial for the Dominic Solanke team, who made his debut by playing to Liverpool.

Although none of these players is being stars for the national team, another cobham graduate, which could be more exciting than Guehi, seems to be on the right track to be one.

GEM COBHAM is ready to be a star of England

While Guehi received a lot of attention for his impressive performance on Tuesday evening, and rightly, there was another old cobham gem playing next to him: Tino Livramento.

The original rear of Croydon joined Chelsea when he was a child and has made a name to come by the Academy, even winning the player of the year during the 20/21 season.

However, after failing to agree on the conditions of an agreement, the Blues sold it in Southampton for around 5 million pounds Sterling, where injuries would limit it to only 34 appearances in two years.

However, these 34 appearances were still impressive enough to convince Newcastle United that he was a player who deserves to be signed, so in August 2023, they spent around 32 million pounds Sterling at 40 million pounds sterling to amuse him in St James’ Park.

Since then, the 22 -year -old has gone more and more force, making 83 appearances for the Toon, in which he produced four goal involvement, collected an average of 1.77 points per game, played on both sides of La Défense and, above all, helped the club with their first silverware since the 1950s.

All of this was enough for him to win his first senior ceiling for England under Lee Carsley last November, then this international break, Thomas Tuchel played him in the first match and started him against Serbia.

In addition, it seems that he could become a star for the team, because according to some reports, the German told his staff that he considered the AS Toon as someone who can become his “left left back”. Theo Walcott even said in the past that he thought Tuchel could have a “future captain of England” at his disposal, such is his presence.

Finally, in addition to passing the sight test and still having a lot of time developing, another reason why the old jewel of Cobham could be even more exciting than Guehi is the fact that its underlying figures are already stellar.

According to FBREF, it ranked among the 4% back on the back of the league last season for ball recovery, the 6% the most small for the completion of long passes, the higher 11% for blocked passes, the 13% most important for progressive and more, all for 90.

In the end, although it is difficult to predict how a young person will develop, he has the impression that Chelsea made an important error by allowing Livrramento to leave in 2021.
