Men’s basketball hits the road to play at Loyola on Saturday

DAYTON– The University of Dayton men’s basketball team hits the road for its first Atlantic 10 road game of the season this weekend, taking on Loyola Chicago on Saturday, January 3 at 2 p.m. ET at Gentile Arena.
Saturday’s tilt will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
The Flyers (10-4, 1-0 A-10) led wire-to-wire against Fordham, scoring on their first possession and never looking back. Loyola (5-9, 1-0 A-10) earned a road win to start Atlantic 10 action Wednesday, outlasting Rhode Island 61-57.
Senior Jordan Derkack was impressive this afternoon as he recorded a career-high in rebounds with 14 and a Dayton career-high in points with 15 for the third double-double of his college career. Three other Flyers contributed in double figures this afternoon, including a redshirt sophomore. Jaiun Simon scoring a career-high 11.
Dayton looks to end a two-game losing streak at Gentile Arena on Saturday, having last won at the home of the Ramblers during the 2022-23 campaign.
