Amanda Asinova beats Coco Gaff in China in the semi-finals

Amanda Anisimova has lost only three games when she ousted the title champion Coco Gauff to reach the final of the China Open.
Wimbledon and US Open finalist, Anisimova, only took 58 minutes to pass his American compatriot 6-1 6-2.
Anisimova climbed the world number four during a stellar season and showed her class by dismantling the French Open Champion Gauff.
She lost only five points in her first service in Beijing and won the first five games of the match in a dominant display.
“I was able to organize a very good performance,” said Anisimova.
“I knew that I was going to have to play very well against Coco if I wanted to get the victory and that I am really excited to be in the final.”
The only anterior loss of Gauff on the main court of Beijing was in Iga Swiatek in 2023, also in the semi-finals.
It was out of all kinds, serving five double defects and striking a crowd of long shots and in the net.
Anisimova will face Linda Noskova on Sunday’s final after the Czech recorded three match points to beat Jessica Pegula 6-3 1-6 7-6 (8-6)
The American Pegula served for the match at 6-5 in the third set and held three match points on her service before Noskova responds.
Noskova forced a decisive equality break and missed two match points before converting to a Pegula error.
