CEA in Thailand to launch the second market of the content project

The Thailand’s creation of the economy of the economy doubles its mission to transform the country into a global creative power with the launch of the second edition of its content project market.

The event will serve as a national market where Thai filmmakers, screenwriters and animators can present themselves directly to production houses, content investors, distributors and streaming platforms in Thailand and abroad. The market will include project pitching sessions, B2B correspondence and networking receptions, alongside industry forums led by Thai and international experts. Forum sessions will be open to both content and the general public interested in the content and media industry. More than 70 companies should participate.

“The CEA considers the content project market as more than a simple event – this is a step towards building a complete and sustainable ecosystem for creators of Thai content,” said Chakrit Pichyangkul, Executive Director of CEA. “By connecting talents with financing and commercial platforms, we open doors so that projects progress in production while raising the level of Thai content to compete on the world stage.”

The event is aligned with the wider soft power strategy of Thailand, positioning the country as a growing creative center in Southeast Asia. Pichyangkul highlighted the economic potential of Thai content beyond the entertainment value.

“Thai Films and Series has the power to attract international tourists and stimulate the demand for Thai products and services presented in world content,” he noted. “This event not only stimulates the visibility of content creators on the world scene, but also serves as a strategic engine for long -term development of the creative economy of Thailand.”

In total, 54 creative teams will present their projects on the market. Among these, 34 teams emerge from the CEA LAB 2025 content project, developed under three specialized programs: mid-carrier: project for established creators developing content for international markets; Milieuse: History for screenwriters developing commercially viable scripts; And in mid-carrier: animation for creators preparing Thai production animations.

20 additional professional content teams were selected via an open call process.

The CEA operates as a public body under the supervision of the Office of the Prime Minister of Thailand, with a mission to stimulate the balanced and sustainable growth of the country’s creative economy. The agency focuses on the development of creative industries while promoting the integration of creativity and innovation into production to improve the value of goods, services and cultural capital.

The content project market takes place from September 10 to 12 at True Digital Park (East) in Bangkok.
