More than 30 years after the start of the road in the wigs through the outback, Guy Pearce pays tribute to the late Terence stamp.
The Oscar candidate remembered his The adventures of Priscilla, queen of the desert (1994) Co-star as “a real inspiration” after Deadline reported that Stamp died at 87 on Sunday, sharing a declaration with a nod to her character.

Stamp’s performance as a trans Bernadette woman was ahead of her time for the LGBTQ representation, which earned her nominations for a Golden Globe and a BAFTA, remaining a classic LGBTQ. The character of Drag de Pearce, Mitzi, was the character of Adam Whitely, an arrogant young gay who is often teasing Bernadette like “Ralph”.
Like the original Prison The stars plan to come back for a suite, Stamp told Deadline last year that he wanted to “get it out this year. In fact, as soon as possible ”.
In January, Pearce revealed that they “set up a script, what could be the idea, and if we all think it is worth it, then we will do it”.
“I think Hugo and I and I are certainly in it, and Steph and Hugo and I have discussed a lot about what we could do,” he told Pete Hammond de Deadline at Santa Barbara Film Festival. “So we are excited about it, but we will not do it less than it feels good. We don’t want to spoil the original.”

Pearce added: “Priscilla has really allowed a voice for many people, which is one of the things we have been told in the past 30 years. So it was really a fantastic experience, but it was a very significant film for all of us being part of.
