Zac Gallen, Diamondbacks turn to the best rocks

The Arizona Diamondbacks checked many boxes in an 8-0 victory against Colorado Rockies in the first competition in a three-game series on Friday in Phoenix.
They recorded a bleaching, benefited from an aggressive basic race and appreciated the contributions from top to bottom of the order.
Arizona will seek to build this on Saturday when he sends the right-hander Zac Gallen (3-5, 4.59 ERA) to the mound to try to claim the series. Gallen was an enemies of rocky, going 7-1 with an MPM of 2.59 against them in 15 career departures.
After having culminated at five games on 0.500 on April 17, the Diamondbacks have a 12-14 file while playing through a fleshy game of their schedule.
“I’m looking for this team to put themselves in the race,” said manager Torey Lovullo. “A 10 -game race can win a lot of baseball games. And I want to protect the advantage of the field. Playing .500 baseball at home is not something we are talking about. We want to go out and win every match we play when we are at home. I want to protect the field at home a little.”
The Diamondbacks have a 12-12 file at home entering the match on Saturday against the Rockies, which should start the German right-hander Marquez (1-6, 8.27 ERA).
The rocks are 7-37, the worst start in the majors of the modern era (since 1901).
Lovullo said that his team’s mission was not complicated.
“Play the coherent D-Back baseball type with which we were spoiled here,” he said.
“Do all these little things that add up, do not try to do too much, press or strength. We are fundamentally improving to do the things I expect. This is what makes us. When it does not happen, it costs us games. We have to make sure that we tighten this. We are going to get there.”
The two teams made several movements of the alignment before Friday’s match. The D-Backs placed the left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez on the injured list with inflammation of the shoulder, opening the way to Ryne Nelson to join the rotation.
Nelson is expected to start on Tuesday against Los Angeles Dodgers. He was stretched, after launching 56 throws behind Rodriguez in an 8-7 victory in San Francisco on Wednesday.
The Rockies activated the EZEQUIEL TOVAR CUT-COURT and the Infielders TYLER Freeman and AARON SCHUNK on the injured list on Friday, and also gave the left CARSON PALMquist its first departure in the major league. Tovar succeeded one of the two shots of the Rockies on Friday, but Palmquist granted five points and six strokes in four rounds.
“Who would not be excited to recover a gold stop and solidify the middle of the inner field and obtain his battle in the programming,” said the interim manager of the Rockies, Warren Schaeffer, about Tovar. “Just his presence. Everything he does with us a better team.”
Mark between his longer departure since 2022, a 9-3 victory against San Diego last Sunday, the Day Bud Black was dismissed as Manager in Colorado. Marquez abandoned one point and three strokes in seven rounds with two stick withdrawals. It was the first time that he had been seven -sleeves since September 16, 2022, his last healthy season.
Marquez has a 6-6 file with an MPM of 4.38 in 23 appearances (22 departures) against the D-Backs, its most departures against any opponent. It has not been facing it since 2022. Ketel Marte A 12 for 42 with two circuits and eight points produced against Marquez.
Ryan McMahon of Colorado is 10 for 36 with three doubles and five points produced against Gallen.
