YouTube Music tests AI hosts who will interrupt your songs

YouTube has a new Labs program, allowing listeners to “discover the next generation of YouTube”. In case you wonder, this generation is apparently everything about AI. The streaming site claims that laboratories will offer an overview of the AI features that it develops for Youtube music, and it starts with “hosts” AI that will undertake while you listen to music. Yes, really.
The new AI music hosts are supposed to offer a richer listening experience, according to Youtube. When you listen to the air, the AI will generate similar audio extracts, but shorter than the false podcasts that you can create in Notebooklm. The host “Beyond the Beat” will break from time to time with stories, anecdotes and relevant comments on your musical tastes. YouTube says that this feature appears when you listen to mixtures and radio stations.
The experimental functionality is intended to be a bit as if a radio host has exceeded fun jokes while indicating the next song. It looks a bit like Spotify’s ai dj, but the youtube does not create reading lists like the Spotify robot. It is also a generative AI, which involves the risk of low -quality hallucinations and pension, which does not belong to your music. That said, Google’s audio previews are often surprisingly good in small doses.
