YouTube and Fox reach a business to keep the Fox content available on the streaming platform

YouTube and Fox announced on Friday that companies had entered into an agreement to keep Fox News, Fox Sports and other Fox channels available on YouTube TV, following negotiations on a new distribution agreement.

Companies had previously reached a short -term extension to avoid the disruption of YouTube television subscribers.

“We are delighted to have concluded an agreement that preserves the value of our service for our subscribers,” said YouTube in a press release shared with CNBC. YouTube, belonging to AlphabetAs well as Fox did not disclose the financial terms of the agreement.

YouTube said on Monday that Fox asked for “much higher payments than partners with comparable content offers”.

This comes after Fox launched Fox One, an autonomous streaming service last week, costing $ 19.99 per month or $ 199.99 per year.
