West Ham may have signed Callum Wilson, but he is still a desire for a new attacker when the transfer window reopens in 2026. However, one of their main targets is no longer an option, because it has sealed a transfer elsewhere.

After the arrival of Wilson, the manager of West Ham, Graham Potter, now, he and Niclas Fullkrug, as nine options, while Jarrod Bowen can also operate if necessary. However, there are concerns about the two strikers, given that they are 33 and 32 respectively- which led to long-term objectives.

And according to Graeme Bailey (via Hammers News), one of them was Emmanuel Emegha, who was an outside competition for Strasbourg last season. However, it was confirmed earlier this week that Chelsea concluded an agreement to bring the 22 -year -old to Stamford Bridge from next summer.

Emegha, who was compared to the New Liverpool striker, Alexander Isak, scored 14 goals in just 23 Ligue 1 departures last season, and that saw him draw the attention of a certain number of clubs, including West Ham. However, Chelsea’s links with Strasbourg meant that they were always the favorites to obtain it, which they have now done.

This news means that it is back to the drawing board for the West Ham sports department, which will be determined to sign an option as a younger attacker in 2026. There will be targets that will become known in the summer transfer window of next year, but for the moment, the process of seeking will start again.

For the moment, the accent will be on how Fullkrug and Wilson are taking place this season. So far, only the latter has found the bottom of the net, which did it during the 3-0 victory at Nottingham Forest two weeks ago.
