Yashasvi Jaiswal reveals Rohit Sharma’s message

Yashasvi Jaiswal revealed that he wondered his former captain and opening partner Rohit Sharma to continue the show at the Oval
India cricket team batter Yashasvi Jaiswal slammed his 6th Test century on Day 3 of IND vs ENG 5th Test at The Oval, London. The opener managed to efficiently convert his fifty into a hundred and did so in the presence of former Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who was in attendance on Saturday. After the day’s play, Jaiswal revealed that he had gotten a motivating message from the Hitman during the course of his innings.
What Rohit Sharma told Jaiswal
Speaking to reporters after Day 3, Jaiswal revealed that he received a message from Rohit to continue playing the way he did. The opener said that he got the message from his ex-opening partner when he looked up at the stands where the Hitman was present. Jaiswal said that despite the surface being spicy, he enjoyed batting on it and knew exactly what shots he needed to play.
“I of course saw Rohit bhai and said Hi, and he also gave me the message ki ‘Khelte Rehna’ (Keep playing),” Jaiswal said.
Rohit had announced his decision to abruptly retire from Tests just before the series against England. Shubman Gill was then named his successor as India entered a new era where they are now playing without the services of the veteran duo of Rohit and Virat Kohli.

Dropped twice early in his innings, Jaiswal responded beautifully. He smashed his fifty with a towering six and moved into nine fifty-plus scores against England, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar at just 23 years old. The southpaw cut everything that was outside the off stump and England repented. While this was his sixth Test century, England have now been at the receiving end four times. In 10 Tests versus England, he owns 1,100-plus runs at 63-plus average.
