Yanni lightning form to a six -year contract

Tampa Bay – The Tampa Bay Lightning signed the striker Yanni Gourde to a six-year contract worth 2.33 million dollars, announced today Vice-President and Managing Director Julien Brisebois.

Gourde, 33, was reappropriate by Tampa Bay as part of a trade with three teams with the Red Wings of Detroit and Seattle Kraken on March 5, 2025. After having recorded six goals and 17 points in 36 games with the Kraken, gourde patinated in 21 competitions with the Bols, collecting 13 assistes and 14 points with a price. After his acquisition, Gourde ranked third among all the skaters of Lightning for the assists while his 50 strokes were the second largest number of the team. He appeared in the five qualifying games of Tampa Bay, ranking second among all the bolts for blocked shots (6) and sixth for the strokes (9).

Consecutive champion of the Stanley Cup with The Lightning in 2020 and 2021, Gourde was originally not drafted before being signed by Tampa Bay as a free agent on March 10, 2014. He made his debut in the NHL with the Bolts on December 15, 2015, in Toronto, and recorded his first career point, a help, in a 5-4 victory.

Gourde continued to skate in 310 regular season competition with The Lightning of 2015-21, recorded 80 goals and 187 points to rank seventh from the team for goals and eighth for points during this period. In addition, his five goals in digital disadvantage and eight points in digital disadvantage were both ranked second among all the skaters of Tampa Bay while his 20 winning goals were tied for fourth. From 2018-21, Gourde patinated in each of the 69 Lightning qualifying games, recording 16 goals and 29 points while leading the team with 47 take-out dishes.

After being selected by Seattle during the NHL expansion draft in 2021, Gourde appeared in 271 regular season competition with the Kraken, recording 52 goals and 146 points with 219 minutes of penalty. After having helped to guide Seattle to the first and the only appearance in the organizational series of the organization in 2023, Gourde played in the 14 games in the playoff series and led the team with nine assists, 13 points, two winning goals and 18 to take away. The native of Saint-Narcisse, in Quebec, remains the leader of all time of the franchise for take-out dishes (192) and the points in digital disadvantage (8) while ranking second for the penalty minutes, fourth for the assists (94) and the points (tied) and sixth for the games played.

In total, Gourde patinated in 602 career games in the NHL, collecting 133 goals and 347 points with 28 winning decorations and a more-46 note. In addition, he appeared in 88 career playoffs, recorded 20 goals and 43 points with 164 strokes and 65 take -out dishes.
