Yankees Chase Sweep of White Sox, hopes to recover al east lead

The overvoltage of Aaron Judge coincided with New York Yankees which accused first place in the American League East.
A little more than a month after having 6 1/2 games from first place in the division, the Yankees can recover the unique possession of the head for the first time since July 1, when they welcome the White Sox of Chicago on Thursday evening.
The Yankees (90-68) are tied with the Blue Jays (90-68) at the top of the Al East after the judge struck his 50th and 51st circuits on Wednesday in the 8-1 victory in New York. Toronto holds the head of equality in head.
The judge joined Babe Ruth, McGwire and Sammy Sosa as only players to have four career seasons of 50 Homer. He struck a three-point circuit to give the Yankees a 3-1 lead in the second round and added a solo shot to the eighth.
The judge heads on Thursday with an average of 0.328 at the top of the major leagues and a record of 1.136 OPS. He reached the base several times in 12 of his last 13 games and hits 0.365 (31 for 85) with 11 circuits in his last 26 games.
“I have the impression that in the past two weeks, he really starts swinging the bat and having really good night and evening batteries, after-Bat,” said New York manager Aaron Boone.
The Yankees have a chance to win their title of fourth division in eight seasons under Boone thanks to an increase of 21-8 which started with a 7-2 victory against the Boston Red Sox on August 24. They started a sequence of seven consecutive victories that day.
No more recently than on September 16, the Yankees had five games, but there are 6-1 in their last seven competitions and Toronto is 1-6 in this period.
“It was a crazy 10 days, two weeks, and I think we all expected it to do so, this last week,” said Boone. “For us, it’s about managing our business, it’s really the case.”
The White Sox were upgraded 38-15 by the Yankees while losing five of the six team meetings this year.
Chicago (58-100) has a 1-10 file in his last games after finishing with only five strokes on Wednesday. The White Sox marked their only race on a fly of sacrifice by Lenyn Sosa during the second round before the judge hit his first night circuit.
“This is definitely a number you don’t want to go,” said Chicago launcher Jonathan Cannon, who enabled the 50th Judge Circuit, about the team that took his 100th defeat of the year. “It is really easy to see this season as a failure, but I think we have a ton of construction blocks, a ton of positive points to take off in the offseason and definitely look for a big step before next year.”
Last year, the White Sox set a record of the modern era (since 1900) for losses, in 41-121.
Carlos Rodon (17-9, 3.04 ERA), Starter Problem of the match 2 of New York in the playoffs, will start the final of the series. Rodon granted two or less points to nine consecutive departures, going 6-2 with an MPM of 2.30 in this period.
Rodon launched on Saturday for the last time in a 6-1 victory in Baltimore. He limited the Orioles to a point on four strokes in seven rounds while removing eight and walking one.
Rodon has a 2-0 sheet with an MPM of 2.25 in two career starts against the White Sox, the team on which he presented from 2015-21. He recorded a victory in Chicago on August 29, when he pulled six heaps of the ball.
White Sox Davis Martin’s right-hander (7-10, 4.03 ERA) hopes to win consecutive departures for the first time in his career. Martin posted a victory on Friday when he granted three points over six strokes in six rounds while Chicago dominated the San Diego Padres 4-3.
Martin made a decision without a decision against the Yankees on August 28 in Chicago when he granted four points, three deserved, in 3 2/3 rounds. He abandoned a point in 5 2/3 rounds during a decision without a decision against them on August 14, 2024, in Chicago.
