The veteran television composer Mark Snow – better known for his work on the emblematic X-Files Theme that has reached the top of graphics in the United Kingdom, as well as writing music for series such as Smallville, Ghost Whisperer, Blue Bloods And dozens of others – died on Friday at his home in Connecticut, confirmed the deadline. He was 78 years old.

Mark Snow, and one of the most wonderful and talented people I have ever known, has died. 33 years ago, he started to supervise me as an artist. Who knew that I was also at the beginning of a deep friendship that would only push and evolve over 3 decades with our graying hair and our tighter deadlines. His humor, his spirit, his talent – good God his immense talent – the world has lost an authentic and beautiful soul.
