Our team is not afraid to spend money in the name of good cooking equipment. We all have tools without the tools without – and even a few that we immediately bought if they separated. But like most cooks (indeed, most people), we love a nice gift. I recently questioned my colleagues about the best equipment they have ever received. It takes a lot to impress this crew with regard to cooking tools. However, we can safely say that even if we may not have it bought The 11 elements were below, we cannot want to live without them.
My partner’s grandmother gave me this hand mixer for my birthday years ago, and this is one of my favorite cooking tools. For cookies, cakes, brownies and other pastries which do not require the resistance of the engine of a counter mixer, this small machine brings the perfect amount of power. He does an excellent work of cream of butter and sugar, and he produces soft whipped cream. He can also bring egg whites to stiff peaks without any problems. – A uong, writer

A few years ago, I really wanted to make ice cream. I imagined all kinds of flavors and fantasy combos, but the ideas remained dormant because I did not have an ice cream machine. But a Christmas, my husband surprised me with our winning compressor ice cream machine, making my (and her) dreams realize. I even used it to make pints of wild grapes, mascarpone and fragile ice cream of peanuts as wedding favors. (You can read everything here.) Just say that it was a great gift, for me and my husband, the gift! – Grace Kelly, chief editor

My husband got me a Dutch oven of 7.25 quarter the crucible for Christmas for a year. You probably know how useful Dutch ovens is, so I won’t get bored with that. However, I will tell you that my Dutch oven is in the now decontaculated color figure, which is a magnificent dark purple with a bronze button. – Riddley Miperlein-Screen, editorial director associate

Riddley gave me this toaster when I moved into my house. (It’s a superb data.) He did not win our criticism, but I love To what he looks like on my counter, and he makes a great toast. It is certainly the most fanciful and coolest toaster that I have ever owned. – Rocele Start, publisher

During the pandemic, I was fighting with being stuck at home, so my father did what all good father would do: he went to Costco to buy me a gift. He returned with a much better gift than I could have imagined: a Kitchenaid stand mixer. He also managed to get one of the last bags of flour and a two -pound yeast bag. Needless to say, I started baking bread and I didn’t look back. Thank you, dad! – Kelli Salomon, principal publisher of social media

It was another thoughtful gift from my husband. I worked at the America’s test Kitchen at the time, and he dm my colleagues to ask for their suggestions on a carbon steel knife and ended up going with this zwilling. It is resisted for years, and I really like its thick and rounded handle, which seems balanced in my palm. (The handle is the reason why it is not a winner in our exam.) – Curtain

The rice cooker with three cups Donabe de toiro that my wife bought me many years ago remains one of my favorite gifts of all time. I love it at all levels: it makes the best rice from afar, better than any pot that I have and even better than my electric rice cooker (which is always very good and undoubtedly more practical); He makes Donabe meals to an incredible pot (see the wonderful kitchen book of the owner of Toiro for ideas); And it is, all by itself, a work of art that I like to watch. If I had the shelf space, I could easily slip into a Donabe collection hole, by buying different which, yes, would have different culinary objectives, but I would also be happy to have them as decorative pieces. – Daniel Gritzer,, editorial director

My husband’s Scottish family members offered me splendor several years ago. Like the contributor of Serious Eats Nicole Rufus, I really like my splends. I use it to make oat flour, and it’s super practical to stir or crush things. – Geneviève Yam, editor -in -chief

Since I shared one of our criticisms in the cat in the family group, my husband began to consult our site for gifts for me. On the basis of our criticisms, he obtained a frying pan, a wooden cutting board and an air fryer, but so far, my most used gift has been my world Nakiri knife. I use it almost every day. The grippy handle is everything. – Keelli

My parents offered me one of their old lodge cast iron stoves when I obtained my university diploma. It was my most used pan for years, but I recently lost it in motion. I think (affectionately and unfortunately) on this subject all the time. – Rochelle
