Jessie J. offered more details about her emotional encounter with Kate Middleton.
The “Bang Bang” singer shared what she and the Princess of Wales, who like her battled cancer, said during their conversation at the Royal Variety Performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall in November.
“She just said, ‘Thank you,'” Jessie recalled in an interview with Hello Americareleased on December 5. “She said, ‘I know you’ve been going through a tough time,’ and I said, ‘I know you have too.'”
The 37-year-old man, from mother to son Sky2 years old, with boyfriend Colman’s song— continued: “And I said, ‘I just want to acknowledge that mom to mom, cancer survivor to cancer survivor, I see you and I feel you. Can I give you a hug?’ She replied, “Of course you can.” “I’m grateful she received it as expected.”
Kate, who shares children Prince George12, Princess Charlotte10, and Prince Louis7 years old, with her husband Prince William— announced in January that she was in remission following her own battle with cancer, which she first shared in March 2024 and which included several months of chemotherapy.
