Bouchra Karboubi Appointed Referee for Côte d’Ivoire vs Burundi Clash
The referee of the next match between Côte d’Ivoire and Burundi was revealed: Bouchra Karboubi, an official Moroccan, will take care of the game.
The 37 -year -old referee already has 39 games at the highest level, distributing 151 yellow cards, 4 red cards and granting 9 penalties. Karboubi was also in charge of the match in the Guinea-Bissau group phase vs Nigeria (0-1) during the 2023 African Cup of Nations.
To ensure a transparent performance, the Moroccan will be assisted on the sidelines by Arbertoune Abdessamad and Bouchtaoui Zakaria, with Temsamani Hicham as fourth civil servant.
Côte d’Ivoire, which is Burundi Showdown is part of match 7 of group F of the Qualifying World Cup 2026 and will take place on Friday September 5 (7 p.m. GMT) at Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium.
