The notes of the WNBA star match on Saturday on ABC fell 36% compared to the previous year, but have always attracted the second viewers in the history of the window.

The competition in Indianapolis attracted 2.19 million viewers according to the front office sports, down compared to a record of 3.44 million last year. It was always the most watched program of the night through the television landscape, by ESPN.

A blatant reason for the gap is that the star of Indiana Fever Caitlin Clark was on the field for the 2024 star match and on the bench with a groin injury this year.

The Minnesota Lynx star, Napheesa Collier, scored a 36-point record on Saturday to conduct his collar team to a 151-131 victory against the Clark team.

This is the third consecutive year ABC broadcast the stars match in prime time on Saturday. The 2023 game attracted 850,000 viewers.

The other events of All-Star Weekend were a success. The WNBA skills challenge on Friday and the 3 -point competition attracted an average of 1.3 million viewers on ESPN, up 89% compared to last year.
