Workforce on drugs investigating a woman’s death in Montauk, says source

The Interagence of Suffolk East End Drug Task Force opened an investigation into the mysterious death of the creator of swimsuits last week Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra aboard a boat moored at the Montauk Yacht Club, a familiar source with the survey confirmed in Newsday.

The investigation, which establishes the first public link between the drug and the death of Nolan-O’Slatarra, goes ahead on two tracks, confirmed the source.

While Suffolk’s police are waiting for the toxicology results of the Suffolk County Legalist’s Bureau’s office – which should take several months – the working group has opened an investigation into the role that drugs may have played in the death of Nolan -O’Slatarra, 33, of Manhattan.

Details on drugs can be involved in the survey, why they are suspected in the case where their potential source were not available.

Although it seems “very likely” that Nolan-O’Slatarra died of a drug overdose, the investigators did not exclude that the death of the fashion designer was a homicide or that she died of natural causes, according to the source.

“Until you start to exclude things, everything is at stake,” said the source of the police in Newsday.

The Drugs of the Drugs of the County Prosecutor of Suffolk of the Comté de Suffolk is made up of investigators from AD, the police department of the city of East Hampton, the police department of the Comté de Suffolk, the police of the New York State, the Riverhead Police Service, the Southold police service, the Southampton Town Police Service and the Bureau of Suffolk.

Suffolk police said last week that an autopsy conducted on Nolan-O’Slatarra, who was found dead on August 5 on ripple, a boat moored in a Montauk marina, has shown no evidence of violence. The cause of the death is still pending, according to suffolk police, who said on Tuesday that there was no update of the investigation.

East Hampton Town police have received a call at 911 around a man about an unconscious woman on a boat at the Yacht Club, Suffolk police last week.

Good Samaritans tried to return the RCR to Nolan-O’Slatarra, which the first speakers finally declared dead.

Suffolk police refused on Tuesday to identify the 911 appellant and the East Hampton Town police did not respond to requests for comments.

The calls, SMS and emails to the owner of The Ripple, who have not been identified publicly and which have not been accused of a crime, were not returned.

Dylan Grace, Nolan-O’Slatarra’s trading partner, said the pair has founded Fashion Line East X East in 2022. Its website describes the company as providing sustainable and unisex “usinaire” products such as sunglasses and swimwear.

The Nolan-O’Slatarra Tiktok page identifies it as the founder of the fashion line and has dozens of videos shot in glamorous settings: in private jets, on a helicopter, in convertibles.

Nolan-O’Slatarra, of Irish origin, had finalized her undisputed divorce from her husband, Sam Ryan, in April, according to the judicial archives of New York State.

The couple, according to the files, married Utah in 2020.

The efforts to reach Ryan and Grace Tuesday failed to succeed.

In an interview in 2024 with the Irish Independent, Nolan -O’Slatarra – then under the name of Mary Nolan – said that she had been raised in the small Irish town in Carlow, attending the Dublin Education Institute and the University of Dublin.

“I always knew that I wanted to succeed, that I was focused on money, focused on business and that fashion is a difficult industry and that it would be a slow route,” she told the interviewer. “I made friends in the Institute and University and a new group in New York, but I still have all my Carlow friends.”

The LinkedIn page of Nolan-O’Slatarra registered it as director general of an investment company, K4 Capital Management and as the founder or director of two other companies.

His work experience shows several jobs in Ireland before starting working in the United States in 2015.
