Workday to acquire AI Sana company for $ 1.1 billion
(Reuters) – Workday (WDAY) said on Tuesday that it acquires the artificial intelligence company SANA for around 1.1 billion dollars, because the provider of human resources software seeks to stimulate demand by integrating AI capabilities in its products.
The proposed transaction is added to a burst of activities to conclude transactions in the HR software sector, after the Investment Capital Company Thoma Bravo agreed to buy the rival dayforce rival for $ 12.3 billion last month.
Workday’s shares have decreased by around 1% in trade prior to the market.
The transaction is expected to end in the fourth quarter of the year 2026 of the working day, ending on January 31.
