WONDER MAN TV Spot Shows Simon Williams Determined to Save Hollywood (Where Superpowers Are Banned)

Marvel Television Wonderful man comes to Disney+ later this month, and with an all-star cast and creative team, it has a chance of being a sleeper hit in 2026.

A new TV spot for the series has just been released, highlighting that it’s up to Simon Williams to save Hollywood… where superpowers are currently banned. With the Department of Damage Control hot on his heels, can Simon make the right choice and become a star in the process?

That (and a tongue-in-cheek nod to “superhero fatigue) seems to be the main focus of this series, and the biggest question right now is whether it’s enough to keep fans hooked for 8 episodes. All signs point to that Wonderful man being largely self-contained, meaning the series doesn’t necessarily set the stage for Simon to reunite alongside the Avengers, for example.

Wonderful man comes from the end of Marvel Studios’ Disney-mandated “quantity over quality” era, but the hope is that the series, which began production in early 2023, will live up to it.

Trevor Slattery also appears in this new preview, and Ben Kingsley recently teased his role in Wonderful man. “[Trevor] manages to escape the real Mandarin and the land of Shang-Chi, and he returns to Hollywood to give his career a second chance and prove to his dear mother Dorothy, who always had faith in him and his talents, that he truly was the actor his mother always hoped he would be and always aspired to be.

“And a series of extraordinary events place him exactly in this space that both crowns and compromises him.” »continued the actor. “It’s pulled in two directions at the same time.” As a result, Trevor will be “Faced with a terrible dilemma: he can achieve his ambition, but it will cost a lot of money. He has a choice to make, it’s fascinating.”

“[Trevor] sees Simon as a friend, a colleague, but he also sees Simon as someone he can completely exploit for his own purposes. It’s a fairly classic and fundamental story about the human condition. You’re associated with someone and you have an affinity for that person, but at the same time, you know that you’re going to have to leverage that person to get to where you need to be. Kingsley concluded.
