New Delhi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced a historic decision before the CPI 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup, revealing for the first time a panel of fully female matches in the history of the tournament.Although the recent global events such as the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and the last two women’s world cups have already seen formal teams of all women, this will be the first case during a women’s world cup. The 13th edition of the renowned event will be organized jointly by India and Sri Lanka from September 30.The panel will include 14 referees and four match referees. Among the referees are the experienced activists Claire Polosak, Jacquline Williams and Sue Redfern, who each officiated from their third female world cup. Lauren Agenbag in South Africa and Kim Cotton in New Zealand, who were both in service in the 2022 final when Australia has raised its seventh title, will appear for the second time.
