WME independent hiring Kristen Konvitz as a cinematographic financing and packaging agent

EXCLUSIVE: Kristen Konvitz arrives in WME as an independent WME film funding and packaging agent, based in the office of Beverly Hills.
Konvitz specializes in the structuring and organization of financing, packaging, distribution negotiation and the development of marketing and sales strategies for independent features, helping to raise emerging and established filmmakers. Previously, she worked as an independent agent at UTA and ICM Partners, where she collected funding and negotiated distribution agreements on dozens of films of main festivals, including Cannes, Sundance, Tiff and Sxsw.
Konvitz’s previous projects include the entrance to Cannes of Charlie Polinger The plagueWinner of the Tiff Emerging Talent Award of last year Hello sadness By Durga Chewbose and Fleur Fortune Evaluation. Before the ICM, Konvitz spent a decade working in New York and served as a production manager at Stay Gold Characteristics, where she helped launch the business. She was also director of the film for the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, where she was the key to creating the company as a player respected in the film and the creative space, in addition to six years of acquisitions and production in Wild Bunch. She started her career at the Weinstein Company.

Konvitz is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Arts with a MFA in the cinema and the Steinhardt School of Education from New York University, where she obtained her Magna Cum Laude diploma in communications and media studies.
