Cameron Norrie fell into straight sets 6-2 6-3 6-3 in his quarter-final against the defending champion Carlos Alcaraz to end the British interest in the simples of Wimbledon 2025.

Alcaraz will face the fifth American seeded Taylor Fritz Friday, in the last four, when he continues his attempt to make three tracks in follow -up to the All England Club and a sixth success of the Grand Slam in total.

“Really satisfied with the way I played against Cam,” said Alcaraz. “No one is working hard than him, happy to see him play in this kind of match.

“I am really happy to be able to play another semi-final here in Wimbledon, it’s super special.

“”[Taylor] Fritz plays very well, the herbs season for him really succeeded.

“I have played several times against him. I’m just trying to concentrate and appreciate and live at the moment.”
