Willy Adames obtained a contract of $ 182 million over seven years during the off -season to join the Giants of San Francisco, but his bat was missed in action during the first two months and more of the season.
But now Adames warms up and displays why the giants have coveted its services. He will try to create another strong match on Sunday evening when the Giants and athletics will finish a series of three games in West Sacramento, California.
Adames managed four produced points of the season and his sixth outing in three strokes of the season while San Francisco won a 7-2 victory on Saturday for the series in a match each.
The 29-year-old stop hit only was struck. 194 after a match on June 10, but his average is now 0.225 after the 3 Saturday effort. Adames has a sequence of six games with which he strikes. 435 (10 for 23) with a circuit and six products produced.
“It was a difficult start of the season for me,” said Adames. “I just worked every day while trying to feel this feeling and this timing, and the last three weeks, I felt much better, feeling like me.”
Adames delivered two two -point singles on Saturday, one in the first round and another in the third.
“Willy’s blow was huge with two outings,” said Giants Bob Melvin manager about the first -round heroism. “Then Willy is the next one (was big). He was the star of the marble. … He does not pursue so much and does a lot of good things.”
San Francisco had also returned the third basic player in Gold Glove Matt Chapman (hand) in the alignment after an absence of 23 games. Chapman struck the cleaning and went 1 for 3 and scored twice. He reached a simple, a walk and was struck by land.
“He has left for too long and the team is missing,” said Adames about Chapman. “He went on the basis three times. He did an incredible job in his first game.”
The victory was only the fourth in the last 12 games for San Francisco.
Athletics won the first match on Friday 11-2, but was largely not competitive on Saturday when it fell to 1-4 against the Giants this season.
The recruit of Hot-Hitting A, Nick Kurtz, had two doubles on the AS of Giants Logan Webb.
“Nick’s bats off Logan were very good,” said athletics director Mark Kotsay. “I thought that his attack plan was great and he executed his plan very well.”
The recruit of A Jacob Wilson, who will start to stop for the American League during the star match on July 15, was certainly certain in four at-bats.
The left-hander Jacob Lopez (2-4, 3.88 ERA) will start for athletics on Sunday. He only lasted 3 1/3 rounds against the Rays of Tampa Bay last Monday, abandoning four points (three deserved) and five strokes and received a decision without decision in the 6-4 victory of athletics.

Birdsong has lost its last two outings as part of a five -part victory section. His last victory was June 1 against the Miami Marlins. During his last departure, Birdsong granted four points (three deserved) and three strokes in four rounds in a defeat of 8-2 against the Diamondbacks of Arizona on Tuesday.
Birdsong, 23, lost his only beginning of a career against the A last August. He abandoned a point and three strokes in 4 2/3 innings in a 2-0 A victory.
