Thailand is launching the month of pride with a parade in Bangkok

Bangkok (AP) – Thailand began its annual celebration on Sunday for the month of the pride of the LGBTQ +community, with its pride parade, the first to be held after the homosexual marriage legalized earlier this year.

Participants walked with rainbow flags for hours in Bangkok. The celebrations for the month of pride were approved by politicians, including Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, who attended the parade this year.

The promulgation of the law on equality of marriage made Thailand the first country in Southeast Asia and third place in Asia to legalize homosexual marriage.
