Sri Lanka’s match against Australia in the room was abandoned without the ball being overturned due to the rain on October 4.

The buildup to the India vs Pakistan match in the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup has been something else. The tiff between the two cricket boards is likely to continue from the Asia Cup to the ICC event.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Devajit Saikia called Pakistan a ‘hostile country’ on the day of the Women’s ODI World Cup opener in Guwahati.

But as if that wasn’t enough. Another controversy struck. During Pakistan’s match against Bangladesh, former Pakistan captain Sana Mir used the term ‘Azad Kashmir’ while talking about Natalia Pervaiz.

However, no controversy or charged moment might occur during the women’s India vs Pakistan match. Why? Well, because rain just ruined a game at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. And a repeat might happen tomorrow.

Colombo Weather Report

According to AccuWeather, the temperature will hover between 27 and 30 degrees Celsius during the women’s India vs Pakistan match. The really good news is that the chances of rain are only 5 to 20% during match hours.

The first innings could be delayed and disrupted, as there’s a 16-20% chance of rain from 3 to 6 PM. But the skies are expected to clear up after that. But during the latter half, humidity could play a crucial role. Considering how the Sri Lanka vs Australia match went, the game between India and Pakistan looks well set to not just be played but completed.

Time (IST) Temperature Chance of rain Humidity
3 PM 30° 20% 69%
4 PM 29° 20% 70%
5 PM 29° 20% 76%
6 PM 28° 16% 76%
7 PM 28° 7% 82%
8 PM 27° 7% 83%
9 PM 27° 6% 80%
10 PM 27° 5% 85%
11 PM 27° 5% 85%

Even a remote disruption will help the chasing team since the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method will come into play.
