Cam Heyward Updated contract: Jalen Ramsey, Darius Slay Urge the owner of the Steelers to “stop playing” and make the transaction
Cameron Heyward, five times the All-Pro defensive platform, remains outside the training camp of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the midst of contractual negotiations, and two of his teammates stood by his side, calling the Office Front to respond to his requests and pave the way when he returned. Heyward has another two years on the contract he signed last summer and is expected to earn $ 14.75 million this year and $ 14.5 million in 2025. “Honestly, I would like to be valued,” said Heyward this week. “I know what I bring to this team and what I am capable of, on and out of the field. So, it is difficult for me, after the year I had, to really justify playing the number I play.”
Working in favor of Heyward is the fact that he produced an all-pro season of the first team during the first year of his current agreement. He made his requests last fall with one of the best years of his career, corresponding to his personal record with 36 plated and amassing eight bags. He also struck a better career of 11 passes.
