Wigan 0 – 2 Wycombe

Wycombe obtained a safe visit to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup thanks to a comfortable 2-0 victory in Ligue 1 rivals Wigan.
The local team had entered the match in search of a great reaction to the 4-1 game on Saturday at the Rivaux de Bolton.
But the men of Ryan Lowe presented an equally disappointing exhibition at the Brick Community Stadium while Wycombe continued their recovery under the new boss Michael Duff.
After a long early stop, which saw the assistant referee on the close side of having to be replaced due to an injury, visitors – having brought 11 changes on the side that beat Northampton this weekend – who settled in their progress faster.
Caolan Boyd-Mance opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with a Trigger Le Strong Curling in the upper corner that beat Sam Tickle in the goal of Wigan.
The skipper of Wigan Will Aimson approached a leveler just before half-time, but he could not convert a Raphael Borges Rodrigues Cross who had been the victim of Morgan Fox.
And the visitors doubled their advance over 62 minutes after a smart corner routine on the left, which led to Donnll McNeilly passing by tickle at a bland range.
