Why the Foundation brought a favorite fans’ book scenario in advance [Exclusive]

Season 3 of “Foundation” has officially disappeared. The magnificent adaptation of David S. Goyer continued to skillfully integrate the many elements of the sprawling interstellar history of Isaac Asimov in a convincing and semi-preccimate show. Even better? Season 3 finally arrived at the role of the series of books where the story meets and the issues are increasing – and Goyer and the company have delivered. Most of this new impetus focused on the villain of season 3. The Pilou Asbæk mule stole the show as the unleashed mental mutant through the galaxy, and in the season’s final, his character turned out to be a lure for the real mule, which was Synnøve Karlsen ‘Bayta from the start (a distinct touch on the revelation of the book).

Although it is a fun trip, and we will probably see the mule in season 4 officially Greenlit for the show, the mule is in fact not the main attraction that goes ahead – these are the individuals we see in the moments of discoloration of the final of the season who are likely to take the front of the stage in the coming seasons. We are talking about the colony of robots on the moon – a group that the showrunner David S. Goyer has chosen to bring in history early for a simpler reason: it was as if it were time.

In the past, the brain behind this epic adaptation said that season 4 was when it intended to finish the adaptation of the first three books. In a recent interview with / film, he reiterated that the original calendar meant that we would probably not have heard of the earth or the moon for at least another season. When we asked him questions about change, Goyer compared him to the mathematics of Hari Seldon psychohistory himself:

“What I was doing, a bit like the foundation itself is somehow adjusted mathematics as you go. Yes, there is a plan, but in real time, we adjust it here and there.”

Goyer has entered more detail on the motivation behind the location of Kalle’s location (Rowena King) and the other robots on the moon in history earlier than expected. It started with flexibility that comes with a serialized show:

“One of the things that is charming in a television program as opposed to a film, if you get more than one season, is that there is a capacity, to a certain extent, to adapt us in real time. We have a relationship with the public, and you see what works, what does not work, and you can also decide … We have a expectation that we can keep some mysteries with a certain period, four seasons. Seasons, five seasons. But we brought apart, four seasons. Seasons. […] He thought it was time to start returning this card with Kalle. It was therefore advanced. “”

Goyer added that this does not mean that the show will be less seasons overall, just that it was time to make this particular revelation for the public. He compared him to work with Christopher Nolan on “Batman” films, a development experience that Goyer himself has found it difficult:

“We would deserve an idea and say:” Oh, it would be good to use for another film if there is another film. “And Chris would always say,” Let’s use it now.

He added that having the confidence necessary to find more ideas because you have been successful and you have won another season is much easier than trying to continue to extend these mysteries for several seasons. The decision to reveal an overview of the Moon scenario is interesting, because it flashes in the final pages in the history of five pounds – but it does not give everything. It will be interesting to see where the Apple TV + production team takes history then when it is preparing for a new season of this science fiction epic in the making.
