The second season of Apple TV + Series Breakup was nominated Tuesday for 27 Emmy Awards. It is a great total and the greatest number of all the shows, but still not a record of all time for a dramatic series: Game of Thrones Was nominated for 32 Emmys in 2019. You just can’t compete with the dragons.
Specifically, Breakup Season two has received nominations for – Deep Breath – Best drama, writing, production of production, casting, choreography, cinematography, realization (twice: Ben Stiller and Jessica Lee Gagné), image editing (three times), title design, musical composition, music actor (three Adam Scott nominations), Tramwell and Johnman, Actor of support (three nominations: Zach: Zach Cherry, Tramhell and John Turturro), supporting actress (Patricia Arquette), guest actress (three nominations: Jane Alexander, Gwendoline Christie and Merritt Wever), sound edition, sound mix, special effects and stunt performance. And here is a cool feat: won is the first woman to be nominated for the best cinematography and the best achievement for a dramatic series.
Good luck to all – especially those who compete with each other. If Tillman (and of course, Cherry’s good too) does not share the votes, Turturro should win its category. Ironically, Turturro could and should probably win simply for the way he said the first name of Mr. Milchick (Tillman) all at once: “Do it, Seth. “I’m not going to make a very strong case here to Wever on Christie – the goats are Bitters.
The 27 nominations almost double this Breakup I have for the first season. In 2022, the first year series was nominated for 14 Emmys and won only two: the best musical composition and the best support actress in a dramatic series for Arquette.
It is an honor to be nominated, of course, but it is much more an honor to win. And in this opinion of the television publisher not so humble, Breakup The first season should have really won several other trophies, including the best dramatic series. (Also, Tillman nominated would probably should have won the support actor.)

Critics noted both Succession Seasons in the same stage of each other, but public members clearly agree with me. It is both the lure and the tradition of Lumen who made Breakup undoubtedly the higher series for commitment and the theories of fans since Lost. (The first days, before electronic babbles probably JJ Abrams and Carlton Cuse have radically changed the course of their history, which led it to a very unsatisfactory end.)
Don’t get me wrong, Breakup Season two was excellent and is a deadlift deserving here – but the first season was a revelation. Unfortunately, this revelation ran into the Buzz saw which was the last season of the HBO Succession. In (almost) any other year against (almost) any other show, the Succession The victory of season four would have come with zero controversy. But 2022 was the year of Breakup – Or at least it should have been – a new series totally fresh, completely inventive (and totally crazy) by Dan Erickson and Ben Stiller. But the voters were more charmed by Jesse Armstrong who stuck on this subject other Great drama of the last seven years – or maybe it is just our nature to attribute the grown -ups by going out rather than from the inside.
