Lucy Bronze reveals breathtaking injuries after the defense of the successful title of England

Lucy Bronze revealed that she had played all of Euro 2025 with a fractured tibia after England successfully defended their title with a dramatic shooting victory against Spain during the final on Sunday.
Bronze was forced after the first period of additional time in Basel due to a knee injury, making it a spectator for the shooting, with 120 minutes not enough to separate the two teams. Mariona Caldentey gave the advance in Spain in the 25th minute, before Séssia Russo ranked 12 minutes in the second half.
Chloe Kelly, who provided the cross for the equalizer, pulled the decisive penalty for England to the house after Caldentey, Aitana Bonmati and Salma Paralleluelo failed 12 meters for the world champions.
The rear of the rear had previously played 120 minutes against Sweden and Italy in the quarter-final and in the semi-final of England, marking a key penalty during the last eight shots.
And, following a remarkable final, she revealed the incredible lengths to which she went to ensure that the lionesses claimed consecutive European titles.
“We have never lost belief in ourselves. There was a lot of noise outside, but we just stuck together and dug deeply,” BBC One told Bronze.
“We have shown that in all direct elimination matches, to spend 120 minutes and return back to back, is incredible. To win penalties, in two games … This team is so inspiring to be a part.
“We give each other energy and what we have accomplished today is incredible.
“Today, we have just shown resilience, as we did throughout the tournament. Believing in ourselves and believing in people who provide you with support.
“I actually played the whole tournament with a fractured tibia, but no one knew it. And now I got injured in the knee on the other leg.
“I think that is why I had a lot of praise for girls after the game of Sweden because I suffer a lot, but that’s what it takes to play for England and that’s what I will do. They know it and we inspire each other by playing through things like that, and that put us at the end.”
