Why did Celebrini & Smith stayed on the ice lane after the end of Sharks training?

The San Jose Sharks star, the young attackers Macklin Celebrini, and Will Smith stayed on the ice 45 minutes after their training group left the ice.

Sharks had a difficult practice on Thursday. Head coach Ryan Warsofsky started with special work teams before going to heavier skating exercises.

The group on ice was also strongly patinated following a central ice zone game, the losing side with a little more. Smith and Celebrini were on the loser side, but that did not deter them from staying on the ice.

“These guys are, from a work point of view, they really drive the bus. They want to be on the ice as much as possible. They want to improve,” said Warsofsky. “We have a really motivated group at the moment. The fact that this is playing here, we are pushed to advance this thing and start winning hockey matches. Start improving as hockey players, individually and in groups. It doesn’t surprise me at all.”

“We like to stay outside, working just on the little shot [from the] Flank, ”said Smith.

The two players were positioned on their respective single -time sides during the power game exercise.

“You don’t want to be too static on a power game,” said Smith. “I think the best are those who can move, and guys can fill a different place. It is still super early. It is only the second day working there, so we try to get an idea.”
