Why Darren Ritter of Daniel Kyri left Chicago Fire

“Chicago Fire” is a little different from your average procedure, with firefighters and paramedical paramedics at the center of history instead of detectives, lawyers or original private investigators. During the 13 seasons of the show, we got to know a whole incredible team of people at the Fictional Firehouse 51 in Chicago, but if the series obtains a 14th season, at least a familiar face will not return. Fans of “Chicago Fire” have already lost their favorites, like when Otis (Yuri Sardanov) died in season 8, but now they will also have to say goodbye to the firefighter Darren Ritter (who is played by actor Daniel Kyri).
Darren experienced an interesting race on “Chicago Fire”, starting as a firefighter candidate and becoming one of the firefighters of the engine 51. As an openly gay man, he had a little shaking things around the fire station, giving Kyri the opportunity to really embrace his own queer identity and abandonment on the way of being a successful actor and a member of the LGBTQ +community. Unfortunately, depending on the deadline, the character will not come back for season 14. So what gives?
Hopefully Darren Ritter will get a decent farewell
According to Deadline, Kyri and Jake Lockett, who plays the firefighter Sam Carver, came out for season 14. Since season 13 is still in production and difficulty, there is a lot of time for the show to conclude things for Darren and Sam, so at least they will not mysteriously miss between the seasons. Kyri has been with the series for seven seasons and lockett for three years, with Deadline attributing the departure of the pair to tighter budgets for the whole franchise “One Chicago”. It is a disappointment that these actors and their characters came out, but it does not seem that it will be as dramatic as when Jay Soffer Jay Halstead left “Chicago PD”, which left devastated fans. Time will tell us about this front.
However, it is a shame that the fire station loses an openly gay black firefighter as an authentic representation for marginalized people on the screen is more important than ever, but I hope Kyri can find another big concert and continue to entertain the public on the large or small screen. Although these cuts may seem to be potential problems for “Chicago Fire”, it is the center of the franchise “One Chicago” and always goes hard, it is therefore unlikely that it disappears anytime … Unlike Scott Eastwood, which appeared for a few episodes before bail out the drama of the network. All the jokes aside, however, when it is time to move on, it is time to move on, whether after seven seasons or two episodes.
