Birds can decorate nests with artificial objects and feathers to deter pies and crows from taking their eggs.
Many birds have been observed by placing human manufacturing objects in their nests, such as plastic, wires or even anti-bird points of buildings. Often these things seem to have no role of insulation or structural support and can make nests more visible for predators.
