Howard Stern can conclude one of the most lucrative races in radio history – but if the microphone calms down, don’t worry. The man of $ 650 million has already built a retirement plan with wine cellars, closets without an appointment and views of the ocean.
The 71 -year -old host of The Howard Stern Show signed her first agreement with Sirius Satellite Radio in 2004, worth $ 500 million over five years. The contract included salary, production, staff and stock awards, and marked the start of Stern’s move off the land radio. His first Sirius show was released on January 9, 2006, after leaving New York WNBC then CBS (Broadcasting Infinity) radio, where he spent two decades stirring.
Don’t miss:
Since then, Stern has reappeared his contract three times – in 2010, 2015 and, more recently, in 2020, when he signed an extension of $ 500 million over five years with Siriusxm. This contract is expected to expire later this year.
Although rumors were swirled about the canceled program, Siriusxm’s president and content of content, Scott Greenstein, Hollywood reported in 2024 that no indication, Stern wanted to move away. “He has been with me and the business for two decades, and he is therefore quite happy, but he is also able, like many artists, to stop when he wishes,” said Greenstein. “No one will replace them. We will never try to replace them.”
During a separate call for results in 2024, Greenstein added that he hoped that Stern “continues forever”.
But if he doesn’t? The Stern’s rescue plan implies a real estate empire that would make most billionaires blush. According to Realtor.com, he has spent the best part of the last two decades to transform radio checks into high -end residences in Florida, New York, and Hamptons – which are all used as private studios.
Stern fell by $ 52 million on this compound of 3.23 ocean acres in-Lac in 2013, then paid an additional $ 13 million in renovations. The estate now extends to 19,000 square feet and includes five bedrooms, 12.5 bathrooms, a private quay, an infinity pool, a homemade theater, a spa and a tennis court – without mentioning a 1,000 square feet cupboard for his wife Beth Ostrosky Stern.
