Who is Max Muncy’s wife? All about Kellie Muncy

Los Angeles Dodgers star Max Muncy and his wife, Kellie Muncy, have built their lives around baseball. And she wouldn’t have it any other way.

“The emotion comes out when he plays, like you can see how much he loves the game,” Kellie said during a June 2025 interview on the Tell me about the Dodgers podcast. “He loves the Dodgers. He loves being part of a team.”

She added, “He always says if he can do something to help the team win, even if it means walking four times in a game, not getting a hit, he’ll do it any day.”

After getting married in November 2018, the couple welcomed two children. Sophie Kate Muncy was born in July 2021, and Wyatt James Muncy arrived almost two years later, in April 2023. In July 2025, Kellie announced on Instagram that she was pregnant with their third child.

Kellie was born and raised in Texas. In her Tell me about the Dodgers In an interview, Kellie revealed that she was more of a football fan growing up. However, a college friend introduced her to baseball while they were in school – something she’s grateful for, considering how much of her life now revolves around sports.

“I feel like if you don’t like baseball and you get into the sport, you’re going to go crazy,” she joked on the podcast. “You have to love him at least a little.”

They met in college

Kellie and Max first crossed paths at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she was studying fashion merchandising, according to her LinkedIn. The two met during their freshman year, but the infielder was in a relationship at the time and they remained friends throughout school.

She said Tell me about the Dodgers that they reconnected two or three years after graduating.

“[We] “I ended up at a soccer game together this weekend and ran into each other and hit it off immediately,” she said, noting he was only in town because he was recovering from an injury. “It was just kind of supposed to be the way it happened.”

After receiving her bachelor’s degree in 2013, she worked as an associate buyer for a luxury brand in Texas until 2018.

2018 was a big year for the couple. Not only did Max get his start with the Dodgers, according to FiveThirtyEight, but he and Kellie also got married.

“As this year is officially over, I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to express how emotional this season was for us,” she captioned an October 2018 Instagram post after the season ended. “I couldn’t be more proud of everything you’ve accomplished over the last 6 months and how hard you’ve worked to earn it…NOW…let’s go home and get married!!!”

The two married a month later on November 17, 2018. Kellie shared the news on Instagram, writing that it was the “best day” of her “entire life.”

They share two children with a baby on the way

The couple are the proud parents of two children.

Their daughter, Sophie, was born on July 23, 2021. In an Instagram post announcing her arrival, Kellie wrote that she “stole” their hearts and called it their “entire world.” Nearly two years later, on April 24, 2023, they welcomed Wyatt, who she described on Instagram as a “nice boy.”

In July 2025, Kellie shared that they are now expecting their third child. “And the tiebreaker goes to… GIRL 🩷,” she captioned a series of family photos on the beach. “[We] We are beyond grateful for the blessing of adding another adorable baby to our family 👶🏼.”

Kellie supports her career

Since the start of her Dodgers career, Kellie has been a fixture in the stands – often bringing her kids or dog in tow. Although she expressed how proud she was of her husband, she opened up about one of the most difficult aspects of being a baseball wife: online criticism.

“I’ve gotten messages in the past like, ‘Hey, your husband lost me $200 that he paid millions for. Do you mind Venmoing me?’ ” she said on Tell me about the Dodgers. “And I’m like, ‘I didn’t tell you to do that.’ ”

Due to the negativity on social media, Kellie said Max took apps off his phone during the season. She combats criticism by focusing on the positive messages she receives, which “outweigh the negatives.”
